Bids for Kids 2025: A Night to Remember

On April 8, 2025, the Edmonton community showed up in a big way for Edmonton Sports Talk Bids for Kids presented by GS Construction—an unforgettable evening hosted at the Bell in Scona in support of Kidsport Edmonton.

From the moment the doors opened, the energy in the room was fantastic. Guests were buzzing around the room, checking out an amazing silent auction, grabbing a drink while enjoying delicious food, and enjoying some fantastic company, all supporting the KidSport Mission to ensure that ALL Kids Can Play!

Hot Stove Highlight

One of the night’s highlights was the Edmonton Sports Talk Hot-Stove, featuring Dustin Nielson, Reid Wilkins, Edmonton Elks Quarterback Tre Ford, and Defensive Back Tyrell Ford. The crowd was glued as they shared football insights, behind-the-scenes stories, and a good dose of brotherly banter. It was a perfect balance of laughs and a powerful reminder of the role sport plays in building connection and community.

Impact in Action

Thanks to the generosity of our attendees and partners, over $60,000 (net) was raised, which will directly support 240+ local KidSport kids with the cost of sport registration fees. The impact of this night is truly life-changing—getting kids off the sidelines and into the game.

  • 50/50 draw and Prize Raffle

  • Event ticket sales

  • Cash Call

Bringing the Mission to Life

The emotional highlight of the evening came from Courtney Webber, a former KidSport Kid who shared her personal story of how sport was a bright spot in her life—one that built confidence, joy, and purpose. She’s headed to the University of Calgary to play volleyball with the Dinos on scholarship. We are so proud of her and grateful for her courage in sharing her journey with our guests, and showcasing the impact that KidSport Edmonton can have on someone.
